High Rise Residential Building Fire Safety

The Government has passed new legislation relating to Fire Safety. One of these is the 2022 Building Safety Act, aimed at controlling and reducing the risk to residents and buildings in the event of a fire. Lewisham Council, Regenter B3 and its partners place the highest importance on fire safety and are committed to working in partnership with residents to ensure they feel safe, and the risk of fire, to them and their homes, is reduced. The Building Safety Act covers buildings that are seven storeys or higher, meaning Holly Tree House, Conifer House and Poplar House are covered by the act.

Regenter B3, on behalf of Lewisham Council, is carrying out a programme of engagement activities during 2024-25 to give residents of Holly Tree, Poplar and Conifer House a greater understanding and influence over how fire safety is managed where they live.

High Rise Residential Building Fire Safety Survey

To start the project and help us build a picture of residents’ feelings towards and understanding of fire safety in their building, we have made a short survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/BrockleyBSA, if you’d prefer to do this on paper, a hard copy and a freepost return envelope will be posted through every door!

High Rise Residential Building Digital Fire Safety Focus Group

All residents of Conifer House, Poplar House and Holly Tree House are invited to join our Fire Safety Focus Group on 26th November, 6-7pm. During the meeting we will explore residents’ feelings towards the management of fire safety in all three buildings and hear your feedback on any improvements you think could be made.
