High Rise Residential Building Fire Safety

The Government has passed new legislation relating to Fire Safety. One of these is the 2022 Building Safety Act, aimed at controlling and reducing the risk to residents and buildings in the event of a fire. Lewisham Council, Regenter B3 and its partners place the highest importance on fire safety and are committed to working in partnership with residents to ensure they feel safe, and the risk of fire, to them and their homes, is reduced. The Building Safety Act covers buildings that are seven storeys or higher, meaning Holly Tree House, Conifer House and Poplar House are covered by the act.

Regenter B3, on behalf of Lewisham Council, is carrying out a programme of engagement activities during 2024-25 to give residents of Holly Tree, Poplar and Conifer House a greater understanding and influence over how fire safety is managed where they live.

New Fire Safety Document

Following a six month period of extensive engagement with residents in all three buildings, a new Fire Safety Information document has been created for, and guided by, residents of Holly Tree, Conifer and Poplar House. The document summarises how fire safety is managed in all three buildings, who’s responsible for various aspects of fire safety, what fire safety equipment is currently in use, as well as information about risk assessments, stay put guidance and other important elements of fire safety.

Digital copies have been sent via text and email, and hard copies, including translations, posted to all properties in Holly Tree, Poplar and Conifer House during April 2025. You can access the new document by clicking here.

Quarterly Fire Safety Meeting

We’re hosting our first quarterly fire safety meeting for residents of Conifer, Poplar and Holly Tree House on Wednesday 16th April, 7-8pm.

These meetings are an opportunity for residents of high-rise buildings to better understand and influence how fire safety is managed in their building.

Residents who would like to attend must register their attendance via the Housing Office on 020 4518 1447 or brockley.customerservice@pinnaclegroup.co.uk.
